Saree Fall & Pico

The finish that
makes it last.

The smallest details protect the biggest investment. We do proper saree fall and pico (picot) finishing in Kolkata - protecting the edge, improving the drape, and giving your saree a clean finish that lasts.

Small Work, Big Difference

Why fall and pico matter

A saree's edges take the most wear - dragging, catching, fraying - and its drape depends on a little weight at the hem. That is exactly what a fall and pico do: the fall is a strip stitched inside the lower edge to protect it and help it drape, while pico (picot) is a fine rolled finish on the raw edge that stops fraying and looks neat.

Done carelessly, these finishes pucker and show. Done well, they are invisible and make a saree hang and last beautifully. We do them properly - matched thread, even finish, clean corners - so your saree is protected and drapes as it should.
